AVVRG Dental Team comprising Dr Helen Pitts, Dr Janet Scott & Mrs Shauna Adams travelled to Ba Ria Vung Tau Province 21st-25th May 2018 to provide dental treatment to those who came to the “dental bus” whilst it was located at the Long Hai Centre for Social Protection of Children and the Vung Tau Orphanage.

The trip went very well with more than 150 examinations, 66 restorations with Fuji VII and Fuji IX GIC, 45 extractions and fillings, extensive cleans with hand scaling and prophylaxis. Whilst on site, the team donated toothbrushes, tubes of toothpaste and dental floss to the centres as Ross has done in the previous trip in September 2017.

This is the third visit to the same locations of Dr Helen Pitts and the team. “I could definitely see that the work we have completed in the past has had a positive impact on the dental health of the children in the centres” said Dr Helen.
