Volunteering at Tu An Temple
On 16th July 2018, Dr Wynn Nguyen and Dr Melissa Arbabi, who were representative of the AVVRG, visited Tu An temple which is located in Ba Ria – Vung Tau to provide treatment to more than 150 under privileged children with no regular access to dental care. In partnership with the Health Department in Ba Ria Vung Tau, a mobile dental surgery bus with x-ray facilities was arranged as the primary treatment centre from the 16th to 20th July. Children received not only an exam, restorations, cleaning and fluoride treatments but also oral health instruction from the dentists during the trip. Dr Wynn Nguyen and Melissa Arbabi had left great memories for adorable little patients and brought them smiles on their faces after this trip. The video below has been made from many wonderful photos which were taken by Wynn and Melissa alongside the volunteering activities.
AVVRG would like to say thank-you to Dr Wynn Nguyen and Melissa Arbabi for dental services that have helped improve children’s oral health at Tu An temple. We also give many thanks to Single Use Instrument for the donation of materials and supplies in order to make the dental program successful from time to time.
